We work with lots Universities around the United Kingdom, with many actively recommending us to their students.

Volunteering helps to develop skills that are beneficial when entering the world of work or further education. If you are looking to help boost your C.V. or education application and clearly distinguish yourself amongst peers, then this is the perfect way to go about it.

Many University courses require you to work within your chosen field in order to build up some hands-on experience. There’s no better way than helping overseas to not only make a positive impact but to also gain your needed experience and to learn new practical skills.

From releasing baby turtles in Sri Lanka, monitoring cheetahs in the Namibian Desert, helping within our orphanage in Cambodia or observing at a local hospital in South Africa, we have the perfect programme to suit you.

Our volunteer programmes are suitable for overseas placements whereby you may be able to receive funding from your university. We are happy to complete any paperwork required, so that’s one less worry!

So what are you waiting for? Come and help on one of our worthwhile projects, make new friends, explore beautiful destinations and immerse yourself within a new culture.

Group Leader Positions

Are you passionate about travelling? Looking for an adventure with friends? Well look no further! We have the perfect opportunity for you and your friends to see the world and earn a free trip of a lifetime.

All you have to do is to find at least 4 other people to come along with you to share the experience. For every person you sign up you will receive £50 off your programme fee, which depending on your destination and duration could easily mean a free trip.

We have no upper limits to the amount of people you can sign up, so the more people you bring along the more money you get off! It’s totally up to you if you wish to share the discounts around or keep them all for yourself – we won’t tell, promise!

You have a huge network of fellow students at University, who we are sure have same travel urge as you. It should not be too hard to find a few friends or some new acquaintances to come along with you and don’t forget we are here to help.

By organising your own group trip you will gain marketing experience, new friends, enhance your C.V as well as get a great reference for future employers.

You’ll be able to organise your trip for anytime of the year and you can choose from any of our worldwide destinations. Not only this, but we can also be flexible with start dates and can even arrange weekend trips.

Interested? Then get in touch today and we can help get you started.

4 Easy Steps

How It Works

1) Pick A Trip – First things first, you need to find the ideal trip for you. With over 14 destinations, this could be harder than you think.

2) Find Fellow Travellers – It’s time to find some other travellers. Friends, social media, information evenings and lecture shoutouts are by far the most common.

3) Collect Deposits – To ensure everyone is fully committed it’s not time to collect the £129 registration fees. We can arrange this part for you.

4) Welcome Aboard – Now that everyone is on-board, you’ll receive your welcome packs that are full with information to prepare you for your trip. We will now take over with all preparations so you can sit back and look forward to your upcoming trip – easy hey?

Reviews

From start to finish the whole process was so simple. I was amazed at just how many people I could find in such a short amount of time, which enabled me to head to Sri Lanka for free! All of the support The Mighty Roar offered was amazing and my volunteering experience is something I will never forget.

University of Kent – Sri Lanka – 7 people

I would highly recommend the group leader scheme to anyone that is thinking about travelling! Not only did it boost my confidence and organisational skills, but I gained a few more friends along the way. The Mighty Roar was there to answer any questions quickly and efficiently. Our time in Sri Lanka on the medical programme was beyond our expectations and we all learnt so much while gaining practical experience.
